Gallery visitors were invited to climb the ladder.  When they got to the top they could use the magnifying glass to read the tiny writing on the ceiling.  It said “Yes”.  This action gave a sense of achievement and affirmation.  In creating my own participation works I want to ensure that the action specified is as integrated as possible with the idea and the object.  Taking the action must emphasise and enhance the idea, communicating it more powerfully.
