I've submitted this idea in response to the 'Uncovered Collective' open call. This maquette shows how acetates of the leading social media networks can be applied to hand mirrors. These mirrors are a collection of old ones, but for 'Social Mirrors' I would use new ones with rectangular/rounded corner shapes to indicate computer screens. The mirror could be displayed along a wall or hanging from the ceiling in a cluster. Visitors will be able to participate in the work by holding the hand mirrors and looking at their reflections. This should provoke thoughts about the nature of relationships in the online age.
